Kingdom Kidz (Children's Ministry)
Kingdom Kidz is our overall children’s ministry program. Our goal is for each child to grow in God’s word and develop a sound spiritual foundation before they enter junior high. Kingdom Kidz includes children ranging in age form 3 years old to 5th grade. Here is a brief description of different segments of the Kingdom Kidz Ministry.
Children’s Church – on every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month (Family Sunday and Communion), our children start out in Adult Worship with their parents but leave shortly after the first song to go to their own worship service. It is normally based on the same scripture that is used in Adult Worship, but the message is presented in a method that relates more to our children. By using dramas, object lesson, skits, stories and puppets, the message is made relevant for our kids.
Children’s Sunday School – classes are offered every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Children are divided into 4 groups. Preschool (3 and 4 year olds), Early Elementary (K thru 1st grade), Middle Elementary (2nd thru 3rd grade) and Late Elementary (4th thru 5th grade).
Preschool is currently using the Live Big! learning system which is based on John 14: 1 "Believe in God, believe also in me." Our children will come to love God through Jesus by living out their lessons in their everyday lives.
Kindergarten thru 5th grade do a rotational SS format. The children meet for an opening assembly then are led by shepherds to different learning stations. The same bible story and concept is taught for six weeks with the use of multimedia workshops such as storytelling, games, crafts, cooking, science, videos and music. In January and February, the classes will empahsis learning to use the Bible.
Mid-Week Miracle – During two months in the Fall and Spring, we offer exciting classes formulated much like VBS. We are currently using the Bible Zone courses which includes Bible stories, crafts, dramas and music.
Terrific Tuesdaze – during the summer months, we go on outings to various places so the kids can expand their horizons.
Vacation Bible School– held during one week in the summer from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This fun week involves singing, great dramas and Bible stories, recreation, arts and crafts.
